TOOLS NEEDED: Percolator / Coffee Grinder
“It’s time for the percolator.” No percolator? Well if your Cuban like me then just head over to Abuela’s and borrow hers or buy one! A Cuban without a percolator is like a bird with no wings, all the ambition with none of the drive.
No coffee grinder? Break out that hand mixer with the sharp blades, or food processor. I always do fresh ground coffee. You’ll come to find that I love the process of cooking and there is something about seeing those whole beans being crushed into little nuggets of gold! Plus the smell is intoxicating, and the taste is undeniably better.
So, let’s make this addictive drink!
WHATCHA NEED :
- .5 cup of Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp of Butter
- 3 cups of Dark Roast Coffee
- Sweetener of choice (no sugar)
- Pinch of Finishing Salt.
Let’s Do It To It :
- Make 3 cups of Dark Roast Coffee
- Pour hot coffee into cup with .5 cup of Heavy Cream
- Add the Sweetener and 1 tsp of Butter then mix well until butter completely melts.
- Finish with a pinch of a nice Finishing Salt
